VICTORY FILM PRODUCTIONS INC has more than 1100 hours of film from the World War II period in its archive. This film footage has been professionally transferred and digitized directly from original 16mm and 35mm Kodachrome, Technicolor, Agfachrome and black and white film prints to HD format.
Victory Films was founded by Lars Andersen, who has been collecting film from this period for the last thirty years.
Mr. Andersen has supplied footage and acted as historical consultant for many productions over the years such as Spiegel TV's "Welche Farbe hat der Krieg", "Krieg In Farbe", "Drittes Reich im Farbe", "Feuersturm" (2003), Steven Spielberg and Steven Ambrose' ABC documentary "Shooting War", hosted by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg's NBC documentary "Price for Peace" hosted by Tom Brokaw, PBS documentaries including "Heroes of Iwo Jima" and "War Letters", and History Channel documentaries "Color of War" (2002) and "Third Reich the Rise/Fall" (2010). Mr. Andersen was a sponsored guest of Steven Ambrose and Steven Spielberg at the Hollywood premiere of "Saving Private Ryan" and has provided U.S. film research and stock footage for many documentaries including TWI Carlton's "Victory in Europe" (2005), PBS's "JFK" (2010), was primary film footage provider for National Geographic's "Inside World War II" (2013) mini series, Spiegel TV's "Operation Overlord" (2014) and Netflix' 3 hour documentary "Five Came Back" (2017) .
Among many other finds, Mr. Andersen discovered the lost color film of the D-Day invasion.
Victory Films is able to search it's vast data base for World War II stock film footage on specific subjects such as fighter and bomber groups and squadrons, aircraft types, ships, personalities and events.
